1. Commitment to Device & Data Integrity

At Mays Computers, we recognize that your laptops, workstations, and mobile devices contain sensitive personal, financial, and proprietary enterprise data. During any diagnostic, chip-level logic board repair, component replacement, or software maintenance, our primary obligation is to preserve the confidentiality and privacy of your storage drives.

2. Customer Data Handling During Repairs

• No Unauthorized Access: Technicians are strictly prohibited from inspecting, copying, transmitting, or browsing personal files, browser histories, photos, or documents during hardware diagnostics.
• Isolated Test Operating Environments: Hardware functional testing (burn-in testing, RAM diagnostics, GPU stress tests, Wi-Fi checks) is conducted using external diagnostic boot drives wherever feasible, without altering user partitions.
• Customer Backup Recommendation: While our chip-level solder repairs aim to preserve NAND and SSD data lines intact, customers are encouraged to backup critical files prior to major motherboard rework.

3. Enterprise ITAD & Media Sanitization

For corporate clients utilizing our IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and corporate fleet decommissioning services, all retiring storage media (NVMe, SSDs, HDDs) undergo cryptographic or multi-pass sanitization in compliance with NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 and DoD 5220.22-M standards, accompanied by serialized Certificates of Data Destruction.

4. Information We Collect

When you submit a repair ticket, purchase hardware, or request corporate fleet leasing, we collect:

• Customer contact information (Name, WhatsApp phone number, corporate email address, billing location).
• Hardware metadata (Device Serial Number, Model, IMEI, Diagnostic Fault Description).
• GST details for commercial B2B invoicing (SAC 9987).
